This Story Is 100% True
Andreas answered his door expecting a delivery. Instead, Ali Koca recounts, someone threw acid into his face, beginning a long period of hospital treatment and rehabilitation.
Koca's Short, titled "This Story Is 100% True", tells the story of an attack in England that targeted the wrong home. His account follows Andreas and his wife, who burned her feet while helping him, through the immediate aftermath. Andreas lost sight in one eye and was left with permanent facial injuries.
The video has drawn about 55,000 views in sixteen hours, well beyond the channel's usual first-day audience for Shorts. Its comment section is also already much busier than a typical full first day.
Much of that discussion concerns the sentence. Koca says the attacker initially received a life sentence, which was later reduced, and was subsequently released from prison. Viewers repeatedly contrast that release with the lasting consequences for Andreas and his family.
