Corvette, skid-steers and a pickup on WhistlinDiesel's catch-up shelf

No new uploads arrived, but a durability test and a budget machinery challenge keep drawing substantial views.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Does WhistlinDiesel have anything new to catch up on? Not this week, but the recent collection hardly lacks machinery: a Corvette, a lineup of skid-steers and a pickup purchase give viewers three rather different starting points.

"C8 Corvette Durability Test #1" is drawing the most daily views of those videos, adding roughly 100,000 a day and reaching about 12.6 million overall. Its description teasingly questions whether the vehicle qualifies as a supercar or a truck. The C8 was Chevrolet's first production mid-engine Corvette, so putting it under WhistlinDiesel's durability-test banner is a particular departure from the usual sports-car review.

"Whistlindiesel Cheap Skidloader Challenge ($5k Budget)" brings competition into the machinery mix. The description sets out five contestants, five skid-steers and a cash prize; it is attracting nearly as many daily views as the Corvette test. No new post is needed for that pair to make this an active catch-up week.

Among nearby motoring channels, ChrisFix has added subscribers over the week, while carwow's subscriber count has stayed unchanged despite a much larger weekly volume of views. WhistlinDiesel sits between those larger subscriber audiences and Top Gear in this group.

Then there is "Back to where it all began," with a simpler premise than a durability test or machinery contest. WhistlinDiesel says he owns no pickup other than Monstermax, so he buys one. That return to pickup ownership is also continuing to draw tens of thousands of views a day.
