Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Ayra Starr - Heaven Baby ft. ZAYN

Vevo calls the ZAYN collaboration a dream come true for Ayra Starr, and "Ayra Starr - Heaven Baby ft. ZAYN" became its most watched new upload of the week. Featured as the channel's Global Video of the Week, it has reached about 36,000 views. In the comments, the pairing itself supplies a talking point: one listener singles out the warmth of ZAYN's voice alongside hers.

There were eight uploads in all, with a particularly inviting stop for P-pop listeners. Filipino girl group BINI interrupted its world-tour itinerary for "BINI - Blush | Live from Vevo Studios," the week's next most watched addition. Tyla also brought a live performance with "Tyla - A*POP | Vevo Official Live Performance."

Elsewhere, Vevo turned from performing songs to unpacking them. "Mario - The Story Behind \"Let Me Love You\"" revisits an R&B staple, while "Shawn Mendes - The Making of \"Treat You Better\"" puts a familiar pop hit under the behind-the-scenes lens.

The channel's subscriber count stayed at 20 million, and daily viewing is running at less than a third of its usual level. Among nearby music channels, Atlantic Records and GRM Daily are enjoying above-usual daily viewing, while MTV is also having a slower spell.

"Heaven Baby" remains Vevo's most active upload, but the making-of material has momentum too: "Kacey Musgraves - The Making of \"Mexico Honey\" | Vevo Footnotes" is drawing nearly as many daily views, with the Mendes feature next.
