When a South African Steals Your Plane Seat

The boarding pass isn't enough. In Trevor Noah's most-watched new upload, an Australian passenger finds someone occupying his assigned seat on a flight to South Africa, and the man has no intention of moving.

"When a South African Steals Your Plane Seat" turns that familiar travel irritation into an argument about ownership, personal space and whether assigned seating should matter when everyone is going to the same destination. It's an archival performance from There's a Gupta on My Stoep, released in 2017, not a newly recorded routine. The upload has reached nearly half a million views. In the comments, viewers pick out Noah's Australian accent and compare their own approaches to reclaiming a seat: ask directly, or bring in a flight attendant.

That stand-up return sits among fifteen uploads in a week heavily populated by John Cena. His clips explore wrestling characters, an unfortunate hotel-hallway snack and the timing and audience instincts wrestling shares with comedy. The conversation about fatherhood in "The Moment John Cena Got Goosebumps 🥹" is currently drawing the most daily views, with his explanation of WWE identities close behind.

The channel added subscribers and collected about 9.2 million views over the week, though today's viewing is well below its usual daily pace. Among nearby stand-up channels, Max Amini had a particularly substantial week; Noah's weekly viewing also exceeded Gabriel Iglesias's and Netflix Is A Joke's.

There's a different kind of audience-reading in "Adam Grant: Fix Your Vibe." The organizational psychologist joins Trevor and Eugene to distinguish allies, pals and companions, and examine the friction that comes from expecting one kind of relationship to behave like another.
