Pumpkin rings turn a hippo's teeth into a feeding puzzle
Tiridan Vee's fast-starting Short has viewers questioning the tourist's feeding method rather than joining in the joke.
Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 169,919 views a day, 14 times a normal first day on this channel (11,828).
The hippo is chewing on air 💀
The pumpkin is in the hippo's mouth, but getting at it is another matter. In Tiridan Vee's Short, a tourist places two small pumpkin rings over the animal's large front teeth. The channel's description presents the resulting chewing as a joke: the rings sit where the jaw struggles to reach them.
The clip has drawn about 138,000 views in 16 hours, already well beyond the roughly 12,000 a typical Short on the channel gets in its full first day. But the most-liked comments question why the tourist is teasing the animal, with some expressing concern about the feeding setup. They don't establish that the hippo is hurt.
Another animal upload is also making an unusually strong start. That clip shows an attempted intervention between two cats: according to the description, the homeowner slams a fan onto the floor to stop a confrontation, only for the cats to leap into it. Both uploads turn on a human action that doesn't produce the intended result.
