The excerpt, posted by the clips channel Theo Rogan Shorts, begins with the astrophysicist discussing historical life expectancy. Clean air and organic food, he argues, are not reasons to assume life was better back then. Von notes how easily people romanticize the past.

Tyson adds that he would have been enslaved. "Not at my place you wouldn't," Von replies. Then comes the qualification: "I'm just saying, we all gotta help out." Doing the dishes would still be part of the deal, and both men break into laughter.

The clip passed three million views in a little over a day. Its first-day comment section was more than twenty times as busy as usual for the channel's Shorts. Viewers keep returning to Von's pivot from reassurance to shared chores; one imagines Tyson reacting as though he might actually be moving in.
