Two Chernobyl videos bookend The Infographics Show's week

The arch collapse video, two days old, now edges ahead of an AI story that crossed a million views first.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

The Infographics Show went back to Chernobyl twice in seven uploads. "It's NOT Just Chernobyl. The REAL Disaster Is 10,000 Blocks Deep." opened the week on Monday. "The Collapse of Chernobyl's $2.5 Billion Containment Arch" closed it on Friday. The first has settled into a gentle pace. The second, only two days old, is the fastest-moving thing on the channel.

It only just got there. "The Collapse of AI Software Engineering" has the week's biggest total, past a million views at four days old, and it is gathering views nearly as quickly as the arch. "Voyager 2 Discovered Something Strange at the Edge of Our Solar System" also cleared a million after a flying first day. A day-old explainer on nicotine pouches and vapes is already moving at a clip most of the week's uploads never reached.

The tail of the week is gentler. A Lizzie Borden story and a video about a $14 billion computing contract are ticking along quietly. The channel sits fourth of nine by subscribers among the explainer and education channels, behind TED, TED-Ed and CrashCourse, with 15.5 million subscribers and a catalog closing in on seven billion views.
