Pirate inspired original violin song: Raise the Sails!

Taylor Davis has a pirate-inspired version of "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" on her Christmas album. Before that seasonal voyage, though, comes an original: "Raise the Sails," whose music video she says will arrive later this month.

The announcement, posted as "Pirate inspired original violin song: Raise the Sails!", was her only new upload this week. It drew roughly 1,300 views in its first nine hours and is currently bringing in the most daily views among her uploads. Davis says she has also been finishing the final mixes for A Christmas Voyage, giving the brief update a glimpse of the work happening between releases.

There is already a nautical thread to follow. Her recent "Wellerman Sea Shanty | Violin Cover" imagines the traditional song in a Pirates of the Caribbean setting, while "Sea Shanty Medley: Drunken Sailor, Wellerman & More! Violin Cover" remains active too. Both sit behind the new announcement in daily viewing.

Her subscriber total held steady at about three million. Nearby in the instrument-channel world, sina-drums is drawing a larger-than-usual daily audience, while Andy Guitar is closer to its customary pace.

For longtime Davis listeners, the pirate return has a familiar reference point: her 2013 "He's a Pirate (Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean Theme) Violin Cover - Taylor Davis" remains her most-watched regular upload. This time, the tune at the center of the next music video is her own.
