Seven Rolex days make a wrist rotation on SwissWatchExpo

The Day-Date selection ranges from platinum and ice blue to rose gold with an eisenkiesel stone dial.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Saturday has a few takers, Wednesday has its defenders, and one viewer would simply take the whole week. SwissWatchExpo's most watched new upload, "A Rolex President Day-Date for Every Day of the Week | SwissWatchExpo," turns a watch collection into a calendar, with nearly 48,000 views.

The selection gives the familiar Day-Date plenty of different personalities: platinum with an ice-blue dial, yellow gold with cognac, a three-gold Tridor and an Oysterquartz version. This is a retailer's showcase of pre-owned inventory, rather than a glimpse into someone's personal watch box. The comments turn it into a small choosing game, including the perfectly reasonable question of how much it all costs.

Fifteen uploads filled the week. "Rating These 10 Watches with No Explanation | SwissWatchExpo" attracted almost the same audience as the Rolex calendar, bringing Cartier, IWC, Omega and Patek Philippe into its deliberately context-free ranking. Elsewhere, consulting careers became a watch-matching exercise, and a Holy Trinity collection meant choosing among Audemars Piguet, Patek Philippe and Vacheron Constantin.

The strongest daily momentum now belongs to a newer, opposite proposition: keep just one watch forever. "Patek vs Rolex vs AP: If You Could Only Keep ONE Watch... | SwissWatchExpo" includes a steel Nautilus, a meteorite-dial Daytona and a platinum A. Lange & Söhne. An under-$25,000 selection and a choice between two three-watch collections round out the busiest current videos.

The channel added about 1.1 million views over the week while its subscriber count stayed unchanged. Its daily viewing is close to its usual level, and its weekly views are in similar territory to SheerLuxe's despite a smaller subscriber audience. For SwissWatchExpo, the recurring invitation is unusually specific: assemble an imaginary collection, then decide what you could bear to leave out.
