Drew McIntyre's agents told him Russell Crowe had personally asked for him in a film. His first reaction, he tells Steph McMahon, was that they had to be wrong.
They weren't. The episode spends its opening stretch on McIntyre's turn as Angus MacLeod in Chad Stahelski's remake of Highlander, alongside Henry Cavill and Crowe. He arrives in a sharp suit and jokes that his wife chose it to spare him a "Basic Instinct" moment in a kilt. He calls the film's MacLeods "the sexiest clan in the land," describes a pivotal scene the crew nicknamed "the Oscar shot," and recounts the call that put him in another Crowe project. On what he wanted from acting, he is blunt: "I don't want to be big heavy number three."
The regular episodes on McMahon's channel usually start with fewer than ten thousand views on their first day. This one passed 74,000 in its first 14 hours, and its comment section had already drawn about twice the usual first day's count.
What fills those comments is less Hollywood than absence. Many viewers say they miss seeing McIntyre on WWE television and talk about his eventual return. Others single out the episode's longer second half, where McMahon takes him back to his 2014 release from WWE and the loss of his mother. He describes her illness and her resilience, the self-destruction that followed her death, and the moment he looked in the mirror and admitted, "I can't lie to you." His advice on grief is simple: reach out, lean on music, give it time.
There is lighter material too. He relives the fall from the cell in his Hell in a Cell match against Randy Orton ("I do not like heights") and explains a year of training with Jeff Black built around foot strength and barefoot work, which prompted his wife's verdict that he is "the most unathletic professional athlete in the world." McMahon thanks him for carrying the empty-arena shows of 2020: "You were a beacon for a lot of people."
The episode carries sponsored segments for Factor and Raycon, and trailers for Agent of Shadows, a comic secret-agent micro-film from ReelShort and WWE starring McIntyre and set for October 23. It closes on his memoir, which he says he wrote to keep his mother's perseverance on the record.

I didn’t know how much I needed to hear Drew, or anyone, talk about mental health, grief and loss right now, but it was exactly what I needed right now. Thank you
@lolacherrycola3199See it on YouTubeAyo Drew.
Miss him on TV, but he's making a mark in movies, which hope is a success. Been a massive fan of his ever since he stopped R Truth's party, and was soon dubbed 'The Chosen One'
Hope he smashes it when he comes back.@PhantomOverlordX2See it on YouTubeLove Drew's mentality towards mental health. Always good to hear someone like him who is perceived to "a man's man" be able to let out his feelings and emotions freely.
