Land over a new truck: Snuff Cup's skit has viewers pricing acres

"The Guy That Chooses Land Over Luxury" passed 200,000 views in its first day and a half, and its comment section turned into a swap of local land prices.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Snuff Cup is a family company that makes a spit cup for dip, and its channel runs on short country skits about one kind of guy at a time. On a usual day it draws around 450,000 views across that shelf. Lately it has been running a little above that.

Three new sketches went up, and the one people are talking about is "The Guy That Chooses Land Over Luxury," which passed 200,000 views in about a day and a half. The premise is simple: a man who would rather put his money into acres than into a shiny new pickup. Many viewers took the bait and started comparing what an acre costs where they live. Others quoted a sly line about "my wife's house." A few pointed to the ending, where the hero still stops to help a stranger, and one cheered a mention of Luckenbach.

The newest sketch, "The Guy That Can't Put The Bottle Down," moved even faster on its first day. Meanwhile, a month-old September skit, "The Farmer That Pinches Pennies," keeps adding views and now sits past 2.7 million.

Among the comedy sketch channels closest to it in size, Snuff Cup had the third-biggest week for views. Nariman and Remy Zee were the busy ones, while DLew ran well below its usual pace. Around 3,000 new subscribers came along.
