Rako's monster stories bring it close to a million subscribers
A lawnmower and a rusty rooster join the animated channel's unlikely rescuers as it approaches its stated goal.
Why this story? The channel went from 804,000 to 992,000 subscribers this week.
His Old Lawnmower SAVED Him From The MONSTER 😱
An old lawnmower is getting hero billing on Rako, whose latest animated stories also feature a rusty rooster and an eagle that never tried to fly. The channel has added roughly 190,000 subscribers in a week, bringing its stated goal of a million subscribers within reach.
That is a substantial addition to a channel that began the week with about four-fifths of its present subscriber count. It has not crossed the milestone yet, but the target written in its channel description is close.
The lawnmower story extends a recognizable Rako pattern: something ordinary or unpromising gets its chance to save someone from a monster. Its most watched Short centers on a sister's last-second rescue; other leading uploads give that role to a tree, a snowman and a scarecrow.
These are dramatized animated stories for entertainment, not straightforward accounts of real rescues. Rako says some draw inspiration from real events and others are invented. The channel also says it creates the scripts, animation, voiceovers, editing, sound and subtitle timing itself.
Its new batch leaves room for other kinds of suspense, too: alongside those unlikely heroes is a story about people trapped in the middle of a tunnel.
