Rako
Story of Why this story? The channel went from 467,000 to 776,000 subscribers this week.
Sisters, shadows and even an ugly tree have played the protector in Rako's animated stories. An old robot is the latest unlikely helper, arriving as the channel's subscriber count grows by roughly two-thirds in a week.
Rako added about 309,000 subscribers over that stretch. Its new Short, "His Old Robot SAVED Him From The MONSTER 😱", also drew more than twice the channel's usual full first-day views in just nine hours. Alongside it, a sister's rescue from the Lamp Man has passed the million-view mark.
The robot title puts a mechanical companion into an established Rako pattern: something threatening appears, but help comes from a character or object that might not initially look heroic. The channel's most-watched Short centers on a sister's last-second rescue; other popular entries give that role to a snowman and a scarecrow.
These are dramatized animated stories, not footage of real rescues. Rako says some draw inspiration from real events while others are invented, and describes making the scripts, animation, voiceovers, editing and sound itself. In this corner of its storybook, an old robot gets to be the useful one.
