How far can an August upload travel without a new video alongside it? For Nexpo, far enough to pass 10 million views. "The Internet's Deepest Rabbit Hole" has reached that milestone during a week with no new uploads, and it supplies well over half the channel's daily viewing right now.
The investigation starts with an unsettling online presence: Egon Cholakian, whose unusually still appearances prompted speculation that he was computer-generated. Nexpo follows streamer Destiny's investigation to a Zoom appearance that establishes Cholakian is a real person, then widens the inquiry to Creative Society. What begins as a question about a face on a screen becomes a much longer examination of the network surrounding him.
The milestone puts the essay among Nexpo's most-watched work, alongside "The Darkest Lost Media [Vol. 1]," "Gemini and the End of the World" and "What are The Walten Files?" The channel remains at four million subscribers, unchanged over the week, while daily views are running at roughly half their usual pace.
Elsewhere in Nexpo's catalog, "The Horror Games that Haunt Me" is the next-largest source of daily views. Its five-game journey through low-poly horror is followed by "Disturbing Things from Around the Internet [Vol. 15]," another substantial helping of the internet mysteries that define the channel.
