"BbY WOW," the heartbreak song in the title of Karol G's Popcast interview, almost wasn't on the album. She tells Jon Caramanica and Joe Coscarelli it went onto the record just two days before the tracklist was locked.

That is one of several small revelations in a long conversation that had passed 47,000 views in its first 12 hours. A full Popcast episode usually closes its first day with under 3,000.

She opens with what a stadium tour does to a body. Caramanica had been at one of her shows and describes a crowd louder and more dressed-up than most. Karol G explains the cost of night after night on that stage: "I have to do adjustments to my wardrobe because I'm losing so much weight. It's horrible." Coachella, which she headlined in the spring, brought a different kind of pressure. She describes nerves and the weight of representing Latinos and Colombian culture on one of the festival's biggest stages.

Coscarelli then takes her back to Medellín in the 2010s, where local producers learned reggaeton and gave it a more melodic sound of their own.

The Times also cut two clips from the same sit-down. One covers her mariachi song "Ese Hombre Es Malo" and the charge of cultural appropriation. The other covers her Con Cora Foundation's work for Latina immigrant women. In the comments, many viewers push back on the hosts comparing her tour to Taylor Swift's Eras Tour. Others point out that this was the first time anyone had asked her directly about Feid.
