Shredder as Cobra Commander, and Slash as Storm Shadow: Pixel Dan opens TMNT x G.I. Joe
Playmates' crossover line, possibly its last big Turtles release before Mattel takes the license in 2027, comes with a spinning ninja-star Gatling gun and a slime-dumping helicopter.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Have FINALLY Crossed the Line!
On a usual day Pixel Dan's channel draws something over 20,000 views. Lately it has been running cooler than that, closer to 15,000, and only one new video went up. Luckily for Dan Eardley, the self-described toy historian from Springfield, Illinois, it was a crowd-pleaser.
"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Have FINALLY Crossed the Line!" is his tour of Playmates' TMNT x G.I. Joe mashups, and by his own admission he came in skeptical of crossover toys. The designs won him over. Leonardo turns into Snake Eyes, visor raised to show a scarred eye, and he carries a mutagen weapon the box calls the "Uzi Oozi." Donatello gets Dial-Tone's beret and, as the description puts it, an incredible turtle mustache. Michelangelo plays Shipwreck with Pigeon Pete on his arm, Krang hides inside a Destro android body, and Bebop and Rocksteady become Dreadnoks. Dan saves his highest praise for Slash as Storm Shadow. There are vehicles too: a VAMP-style Shell Striker with a "Yo Bro" license plate, and a Dragonfly-inspired Turtle Fly Copter that dumps slime.
The comments read like a wish list. Viewers pitch Foot Soldiers as Cobra Troopers, mourn a Casey Jones that never came, and picture the Technodrome docking with the Terror Drome. One fan swears Donatello's backpack piece is a microphone, not an eyepiece. The video's own question, whether people will buy the line, has drawn a long thread of replies.
Behind it, Masters of the Universe keeps the shelf busy: a September video asking whether the line is quitting, and an indie roundup starring a translucent bubblegum skeleton called Gum Skull. Among the anime, comics and tabletop channels nearest its size, the big weeks belong to World of Io and karu.

Shredder cosplaying as Cobra Commander is too perfect.
@Michael_aka_PsychoSee it on YouTubeAs you were reviewing these I was envisioning a crossover between the Technodrome and the Terror Drome.
@benjaminmurray412See it on YouTubeI only bought the Dial-Tone/Donatello and it is amazing. They knew what they were doing mixing the best turtle with the best Joe.

I would love to give that Shredder-Cobra Commander a Megatron Pistol just to add to the crossover silliness.
@cerberus144See it on YouTubeRocksteady’s been pushing this line since ‘88!
@TheDarkThunderSee it on YouTubeThe Slash is so good that it makes you wonder why Playmates was playing dumb with all their other releases. Like, hey, wow, you CAN make a modern action figure!
@StarfigSee it on YouTubeI picked up the Leo x Snake Eyes and Slash X Storm Shadow figures. It's a shame we'll never see additional entries in this line with all the opportunities they'd have for filling it out. Foot Soldiers as Cobra Troopers; Moser units as B.A.T.s; Baxter Stockman as Dr. Mindbender AND as Nemesis Enforcer; Casey Jones as one of the *MANY* heavily armed Joes...Could've been amazing.
@joshmorales770See it on YouTubeDonatello's foldable backpack piece is a microphone, not an eye piece.
@lurchorumSee it on YouTubeThey did a really great job with this line!

In G.I. Joe, Storm Shadow (Slash's role in this line) is the sworn brother of which silent ninja?
Storm Shadow and Snake Eyes trained in the same Arashikage ninja clan, and the two were bound as sword brothers.
