The Genius 1947 Teardrop Modern RVs Can't Beat!
Patrick Botticelli has gone from a V8-powered camping machine to a trailer with a much smaller footprint and a clever way of making space. His latest New Jersey Outdoor Adventures tour introduces a preserved 1947 Kampmaster, low enough to fit in a residential garage but designed to open into a camper you can stand inside.
The upload drew about 78,000 views in 14 hours, already well beyond the channel's usual full-day audience. Its title, "The Genius 1947 Teardrop Modern RVs Can't Beat!", makes a bold comparison. The interesting part is the mechanism behind it: Patrick demonstrates the roof lift, then explores the canvas and screen enclosures that complete the expanded camping setup.
Inside, space does more than one job. A fold-over counter covers the sink, the dinette converts into a bed, and clothes storage is tucked away. The kitchenette retains a vintage ice box alongside its cooktop. Riveted aluminum, wood ribs and glass marker lights give the tour details to linger over beyond the pop-top transformation.
The comments pick up on that combination of utility and preservation. Viewers ask for a modern remake, point out the curves around the wheel well and door, and discuss the owner's decision to keep the vintage features. One recalls discovering a Kampmaster in an old advertisement years ago and finally getting to see a functioning example through Patrick's tour.

What viewers say
Look at even the sweep of the wheel well and the door. That is really elegant design both overall and detail.

I never thought I’d see a remaining Kamp Master. 15 years ago I saw a vintage ad for one, but to see one in fully functioning, correct condition is incredible. Thanks to you and the owner for sharing it with us.
