A Hobbit van brings handcrafted comfort to Patrick Botticelli's week

Anthony's conversion joins an ambulance party camper and a removable Subaru setup across six new tours.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Patrick Botticelli's most-watched new upload returns to a familiar build: Anthony's Hobbit van, whose original full-length tour is approaching a million views, according to Patrick's description. The new feature, "MOST Famous Van Build: The Hobbit Van Build!", has already drawn roughly 627,000 views.

The conversation underneath is pleasingly practical for something with a fantasy-inspired name. Viewers pick out the hideaway bed, full bathroom, illuminated cupboards and front sofa. Several also make room in their observations for the cat. Craftsmanship and the use of limited space are the recurring subjects, rather than simply how much equipment fits inside.

There was plenty of variety elsewhere in the six-upload week: compact Airstreams, an ASMR RV tour and a custom ambulance camper with a DJ-booth premise. The newest full walkaround takes a different approach to mobile living. In "Don't Buy an Expensive Van Until You See This Build!", Tim shows Patrick a Subaru Outback Wilderness setup after a cross-country road trip. Its removable birch platform, pull-out kitchen and tent stored in a rooftop cargo box let the car remain a daily driver, rather than become a dedicated camper.

The channel added about 3.3 million views and gained subscribers over the week, with daily viewing close to its usual level. Camper MidNight and Tyler Morgan - Japan Adventures had much larger viewing weeks among nearby travel channels, while Rick Steves' Europe was quieter.

Anthony's van is currently the channel's busiest upload. Behind it, the compact Winnebago tour and the previously featured 1947 Kampmaster keep the interest firmly on clever ways to make a small traveling home feel bigger.
