Tyler Morgan's Tesla sketch takes parking to the ceiling
Rocket controls and airborne gridlock turn an imaginary year of Roadster ownership into a departure from his Japan travel videos.
Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 910,080 views a day, 6.2 times a normal first day on this channel (147,946).
Owning a Tesla Roadster: Day 1 vs 1 year later 🚀😭
Tyler Morgan collects his new car with a cup of noodles in hand, then notices the alarming warning icons on its enormous dashboard display. His response to discovering a rocket-engine control is sensible enough: stick to Eco Mode.
That restraint doesn't last through "Owning a Tesla Roadster: Day 1 vs 1 year later 🚀😭", a staged comedy sketch, not a real ownership review. Its futuristic features turn everyday errands into increasingly unreasonable problems. Self-parking launches the car into a space, while suction mode lets Tyler leave it upside down on his garage ceiling. Getting the groceries out becomes rather less convenient.
The Short drew roughly 450,000 views in eight hours, already well beyond the channel's usual full-day audience for the format. Viewers are picking up on the huge screen inside the car, joking that the dashboard could double as a television. Others are discussing the warning labels and the skeleton gag.
It's a different sort of travel trouble for a channel whose recent subjects include Japanese office etiquette and Korean trash disposal. Here, even taking to the air doesn't solve the commute: Tyler finds a sky full of traffic.
His Japan material has a milestone of its own alongside the sketch. "You WILL have this Plastic Problem on your Japan Trip lol", the travel warning we covered earlier, has now passed ten million views.
