The Last of Us Part I - Ending References

"The Last of Us Part I - Ending References" is a short look back at how Joel and Ellie's first story closes, posted on Naughty Dog's own channel with one line from the game as its whole description: "Back when I was bitten... I wasn't alone." The comment section went straight to one gesture. The most liked note points at Joel rubbing his watch, and how it set people up for a flashback to Sarah, the daughter he loses in the game's opening hour. Others ask the question that follows every Last of Us video: when is Part 3?

Six days later came a scene from the sequel, "Abby, Lev, and Yara Fight," captioned simply as the moments before a crazy fight, with a hammer emoji for a hint. It is the newest upload, and the one moving fastest on the channel.

Both arrive in the afterglow of The Last of Us Day in late September, when the studio held a charity stream for AbleGamers with accessibility specialist Ross Minor as guest host. That stream and a birthday message from Shannon Woodward, the voice and face of Dina in Part II, are still among the channel's busiest videos.

It was a slower stretch than usual for a channel of nearly 380,000 subscribers, with daily views at about half their normal level and the subscriber count unmoved. Among the publisher channels closest in size, StarCraft and Apex Legends Global Series had the fuller weeks, while Blizzard Entertainment eased off much like Naughty Dog did.
