Cleopatra and the Nile carry National Geographic's Egypt-tinged week
A three-day-old Cleopatra special is gathering views fastest, just ahead of a Nile mapping film that still holds the week's biggest total.

National Geographic sits first of nine by subscribers among the documentary and journalism channels, a clear step above VICE and BBC Earth, and it spent the week drawing on its full range.
Fourteen uploads went up, and two of them point toward the same river. "Mapping The Nile | Africa Earth's Wild Home | National Geographic" has the most views of the week, a little past 700,000. "Cleopatra's Final Secret (Full Episode) | Documentary Special | National Geographic" came a day later and is now moving fastest on the channel. Its first day was its liveliest, and it has eased only slightly since.
The rest of the week wandered farther afield: a photographer's life lessons, an episode on alien encounters, and a mob undercover compilation. A day-old Drain the Oceans mega episode about the American West has already joined the channel's three quickest movers. Maybe the pull of ancient Egypt had something to do with a week where the Nile got two stories in a row?
