Baby Nova's MTV Underground set leads MTV's single-upload week

Four days old, the Los Angeles performance is gathering views roughly ten times faster than Lady Gaga's VMAs video, the channel's next-busiest title.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

One upload, clear leader. MTV posted a single video over the past seven days, "Baby Nova Performs LIVE In Los Angeles | MTV Underground", and it has quickly become the busiest thing on the channel, with a little over 20,000 views so far.

What stands out is the gap behind it. Lady Gaga's "The Dead Dance" from the 2025 VMAs is twelve days old and moving at a small fraction of Baby Nova's daily pace. KATSEYE's pre-show performance of 'Gnarly' holds far more views overall, close to half a million after a month, but its crowd has thinned to a trickle. For now, a new name from the Underground series is drawing more attention than two of the channel's VMA stages.

The subscriber count stayed level at 11.5 million, which keeps MTV third of nine in its group of music labels and music media, behind Vevo and Atlantic Records and a step above BBC Radio 1.
