MrBeast puts a daily cash prize on Minecraft survival

The new challenge asks how good a friend can get at the game, alongside another unusually large jump in subscribers.

Why this story? The channel is adding 100,035 subscribers a day, 7.3 times a normal day (13,686).

A friend has a financial reason to get better at Minecraft. In "$10,000 Every Day You Survive In Minecraft," MrBeast says he put his friend in a room to test how much he could improve. The title supplies the incentive: surviving means a daily payday.

Posted Saturday, the upload has already passed ten million views. Alongside that release, MrBeast Gaming added about 100,000 subscribers in a day, more than seven times its usual pace. That is a sharp subscriber jump, although daily channel views are below their usual level, not rising in step.

The challenge changes the terms of the channel's recent Minecraft outings. "First To Mine A Diamond, Keeps It!" makes speed the goal; this time, the reward is tied to lasting longer.

There is also a contrast with "I Found My 13 Year Old Minecraft World." For that upload, MrBeast recreated an old world block by block after the original recording laptop was destroyed. The new video trades that backward glance for a friend's progress at the game.
