MaviGadget's nose-shaped soap dispenser, and the question of how to fill it

Product #3199 holds only enough soap for two or three squeezes, and its comment section, in languages from Polish to Armenian, keeps asking who would hang one on a wall.

Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 3,906,519 views a day, 32 times a normal first day on this channel (121,034).

How do you fill a soap dispenser shaped like a human nose? That is the most liked question under MaviGadget's newest hit. The description only half answers it: the lifelike nose mounts on a wall and holds enough soap for two or three squeezes. It is billed as a prank, built for a quick surprise rather than everyday handwashing.

That was plenty. The Short passed three and a half million views in its first 19 hours, on a channel whose Shorts usually open at a small fraction of that. The comments came in more than twenty times faster than on a usual first day, written in Polish, French, Russian, Arabic, Armenian and English.

Much of the talk is about whether anyone would really put this in a bathroom. Several viewers write that they would not, even as a joke. One hopes it is AI and then decides, with some alarm, that it is not. Another thinks it would work better as a toothpaste dispenser.

MaviGadget calls itself a product discovery platform, and its channel is essentially a catalog, each item filed under a number. Two other new entries also started well above the channel's usual pace on the same day: a two-armed cuddle pillow meant to keep a baby from rolling, and a bed-mounted face rest for massages at home. Both drew several times the usual first-day crowd. Neither came anywhere near the nose.
