Half a million views for Matt McGuire's "Daisies" drum cover
The Bieber performance mixes softer verse patterns with stick flourishes and crashing choruses during a week without new uploads.

Justin Bieber - Daisies - Matt McGuire Drum Cover
Matt McGuire taps his sticks together, settles into the groove, then gives the chorus a much bigger entrance. His cover of Justin Bieber's "Daisies" is built on those changes in intensity: restrained patterns, raised sticks, cymbal crashes, then another pullback before the finish.
The summer upload has now passed half a million views. With nothing new posted this week, it remains the most active of his recent covers, drawing roughly 3,400 views a day. Breaking Benjamin's "The Diary Of Jane" is also gathering views, while Maroon 5's "This Love" has crossed the hundred-thousand mark. Pop, hard rock and a little funk make a fairly varied set without McGuire needing to leave the kit.
His subscriber count was unchanged over the week. Elsewhere among instrument channels, sina-drums added subscribers, while Rob Scallon had a particularly busy week for views. McGuire sits between Scallon and sina-drums in subscriber size.
There is a longer history behind these covers, too. His 2016 performance of "Marshmello - Alone | Matt McGuire Drum Cover" remains his most watched regular upload, with about 41 million views. The electronic-music connection extends beyond covers: McGuire describes his role with The Chainsmokers as both drummer and musical director.
