Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

The Spookiest Ghost Pokémon

Misdreavus looks rather less innocent once Michael starts reading its Pokédex entries. In MandJTV's Short "The Spookiest Ghost Pokémon", the red orbs, absorbed fear and eerie shrieking become evidence that Pokémon's ghost stories deserve a closer look.

He works through Gastly's suffocating gas, Chandelure's spirit-burning flames and other decidedly unfriendly habits before reaching Froslass and its taste for freezing handsome hikers. His response: "Oh no. I'm in danger." Viewers pick up that joke, while others debate whether the sounds in Misdreavus' beads represent trapped souls or simply echoes of the screams it feeds on. Several also spot an Ultra Sun reference paired with an Ultra Moon image.

The week's other upload, "I Tried the LEGO® Pokémonᵀᴹ SMART Playᵀᴹ Experience", takes the channel from ghost lore to hands-on play. It's currently bringing in the most daily views of any MandJTV upload. Behind it, "How to Use Your Master Ball in Every Pokémon Game" is nearing two million views, with its enduringly practical question: what deserves that precious catch? "The Regular Trainer Starter Pokémon" is also busy, imagining starter trios for Hoenn's other towns.

Across the channel, the week brought roughly 2.5 million views, while subscribers held steady. Daily viewing is a little below its usual level. Nearby gaming channels have mixed fortunes: Austin John Plays and Scott The Woz are drawing above-usual daily audiences, while AngryJoeShow is quieter than usual. For MandJTV, the week's range is particularly neat: Pokémon to fear, Pokémon to build and Pokémon worth saving a Master Ball for.

Very much in danger, Mikey

I like to think that the shrieking sounds inside Misdreavus’ beads are flashbacks to the people’s initial screams caused by it.

Honestly Midreavus's Dex entry just sounds like it's hunting for food in a way that makes sense for it's species.
