Harper leaves the duct-tape removal to her LOL Podcast co-host

LOL Clips' studio experiment drew more than 76,000 views before its first day was over, far beyond its usual Shorts audience.

Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 77,566 views a day, 28 times a normal first day on this channel (2,774).

That's Gonna Hurt!That's Gonna Hurt!

Harper does the careful part: pressing a strip of duct tape onto a seated co-host's lower leg. Then she walks away, leaving him to handle the removal while the microphones catch everyone else's anticipation.

The LOL Podcast excerpt, posted by LOL Clips as "That's Gonna Hurt!", turns a small studio distraction into a short comic scene. The surrounding hosts supply a running commentary as Harper smooths the tape down. By the time her co-host reaches for it himself, the room is watching closely. A loud rip gets a collective gasp.

The Short reached roughly 76,000 views in 23 hours, more than twenty times the channel's usual first-day start for the format. It wasn't the channel's only unusually quick start: "Kate Slaps Cash!", posted the same day, also drew a much larger audience than a typical LOL Clips Short.
