A regular Jimmy Kimmel Live upload usually opens to about 200,000 views on its first day. Tuesday's monologue passed four million, and its comment section filled up roughly fourteen times faster than usual. Maybe it helped that, this time, Kimmel is in the story himself.

The moment comes in a run of rally clips. Donald Trump, irritated by Kimmel's remarks that his crowds look thin, calls the host out by name: "This loser Jimmy Kimmel... what a loser." Kimmel answers with pictures, putting photographs of empty seats at Trump events on screen, then moves on to the president mangling Abdul El-Sayed's name and floating the idea of naming an ocean after himself.

The Nobel Peace Prize is back too. Last week Trump said he didn't care about it, as we reported here. This time Kimmel reads a Truth Social post in which Trump writes that the United States, "represented by me as your president," should have received the prize but didn't. Much of the comment section argues over that idea. The monologue also takes in the new White House press secretary, Katie Zacharia, and news that the Pentagon is considering livestreaming an execution.

The lighter half belongs to Guillermo Rodriguez. Kimmel rounds up the tributes to his sidekick's ballroom run, from NFL quarterback Jameis Winston to the US freestyle ski team. "Guillermo is teaching the world a lesson: just because you can't dance doesn't mean you can't dance," Kimmel says, and a good share of the comments simply cheer Guillermo on.

The episode closes on Hollywood Boulevard, where passersby try to explain the difference between autumn and fall. Guillermo's dancing story has moved on since then: the show's next upload has him and his partner, Witney Carson, talking with Kimmel after they were voted off Dancing with the Stars.
