JakeTheJuice climbs a ladder to fix the net, then decides he might as well shoot from up there. His father, Professor Pops, matches the basket, but not before delivering the appropriate workplace warning: "I'm going to have to report you to OSHA."

That is the tone of their latest sports test: inventive shots, household equipment and a dad who can supply the comeback as readily as the basket. The Short has passed 118,000 views in eight hours, with an estimated first-day audience more than five times JakeTheJuice's usual for the format.

This installment follows darts, bowling and soccer in Jake's series testing whether Pops is better at sports than he is. A blindfolded dart throw selects basketball, bringing them onto familiar ground: trick shots and Professor Pops already feature prominently among the channel's most-watched Shorts.

The garage offers plenty to work with. Both players sink shots while leaning into a large trash can. They back toward the wall for fading turnaround bank shots, and Pops opens the garage door to shoot from an outdoor table. A drop-kick attempt supplies the deciding challenge.

Viewers are talking about the wall shots and Pops's running commentary, particularly his blacksmith comparison for a ball that catches plenty of rim.
