How People Treat You Based on Subscribers
What does a channel with more than half a billion subscribers make a video about? This week, subscribers themselves. "How People Treat You Based on Subscribers" is ten hours old, and it is already the fastest-moving video on the channel, ahead of last week's elimination game "Last To Fall Wins." The title sets up the question plainly. Few people could speak to the top end of that scale the way Jimmy Donaldson can.
It is only the second upload of the week. The first, "Lose 150 Lbs Together, Win $250,000," has passed 137 million views, nearly half of them on its opening day. It is a paid partnership with Function Health, and the company's co-founder, Dr. Mark Hyman, appears early to go over the couple's bloodwork. His verdict on Sara and Tre at the start: "Their metabolism is just busted." Ninety days later the scale reads 107 pounds lost, and the pair climb a cargo net hanging from a helicopter.
The comments have moved past the trainers, who drew most of the talk in the first days. The most liked question turns the premise on the viewer: who would you pick to lose 150 pounds with? Others want the formula reversed, with a skinny contestant set the task of building muscle, and a fair number single out the truck pull as the cleverest workout in the video.
Across the channel, daily viewing sits right at its usual level, and about two million new subscribers arrived over the week. Among the challenge channels nearest in size, that is the largest subscriber gain and the most views added. MrBeast 2 is running a little above its normal pace and Stay Wild is busier than usual, while Jesser and Jordan Matter are well below theirs.
The channel's most watched regular video is still the 2021 "$456,000 Squid Game In Real Life!", now within touching distance of a billion views.

The $350k is great, but having a partner who will suffer through 163 days of chicken, broccoli, and two-a-day workouts with you without quitting is the rarest lottery ticket on earth.
