P.T.'s hallway gets another visit from jacksepticeye
His only new upload revisits the Silent Hills teaser through a PC port, drawing more than a million views.

Press to jump
- 0:48Jack explains the PC port's origins and describes its enhanced visual settings and ray tracing.
- 1:37The looping hallway prompts memories of the original game's lighting and Fox Engine.
- 11:59Jack spots Lisa staring down from the mezzanine above the corridor.
- 13:13Red lighting and distorted sounds transform the hallway.
- 15:47A bathroom inspection reaches its jump scare here.
- 19:28Another loop brings warped visuals, strange voices and animated eyeball paintings.
Lisa is waiting above the corridor, and jacksepticeye looks up. The ghost on the mezzanine is a familiar sight, but returning to P.T. gives him plenty to rediscover, from its atmospheric lighting to the increasingly hostile sounds filling that looping hallway.
"Can you believe it's been 12 years since P.T. came out?" he asks. His only upload this week, "Playing P.T. on PC 12 years later," uses what he describes as a native PC port with higher visual settings and ray tracing. Admiring the lighting does not make him any safer: a later bathroom inspection ends with Lisa abruptly cutting the attempt short.
The return has passed 1.1 million views and is comfortably the channel's busiest video right now. In the comments, viewers trade memories of their first scares, mourn the unrealized Silent Hills game and joke about what the phrase "12 years later" does to their joints. Several also connect P.T.'s repeating corridor to the loop-based horror games that followed it.
Channel-wide viewing is running above its usual daily level, while subscribers held steady over the week. Among nearby variety-gaming channels, Markiplier had a particularly busy week for views; DanTDM's daily viewing is a little quieter than usual.
There is a less claustrophobic option in jacksepticeye's archive, too. "Happy Wheels is on STEAM?" continues to draw viewers a month after publication, with the Restory episode "So Relaxing..." supplying a rather different kind of return visit.

What viewers say
"12 years later", my back and knees started aching...
@tresfreakerSee it on YouTubeIt will forever haunt me that they never released it as an actual game. One of the scariest teasers/demos ever made with tons of potential.
@Adonis_fxtSee it on YouTubeI remember playing this for the first time and decided to look out the window in the hallway and saw Lisa shaking and it took a second to register until I jumped out of my chair. One of worst scares I encountered in a videogame.

I can't believe that this game never released
@metric115See it on YouTubeI feel like we owe PT for a lot of the modern "loop" games, including the anomaly genre. What a fantastic way to market a game, and damn that we never got the full game.
