DangerouslyFunny's giant egg requires tools, puzzles and sedation

Crack supplies the week's most watched new upload, with a bucket-based payday and a specimen that objects to being mined.

  1. 0:00DangerouslyFunny takes a pickaxe to the giant egg's outer shell.
  2. 1:05An agitated specimen sends him to a pipe-rotation puzzle to administer sedation.
  3. 2:40Shell fragments travel from bucket to conveyor belt, earning money for equipment.
  4. 6:45Buying a shovel and upgraded chisel requires completing a card-matching CAPTCHA.
  5. 10:45Sleep introduces an egg-cracking dream mini-game, where he switches on an auto-clicker.
  6. 15:30A better pickaxe helps extract more material, and an embedded parasite briefly appears.

The egg gets agitated before DangerouslyFunny has made much of a dent. His solution is to leave the pickaxe behind, solve a pipe-rotation puzzle and sedate the thing he is supposed to be breaking open.

That is the working rhythm of "I Had To Break The Egg": mining, containment, payment, upgrades. Shell fragments go into a bucket and onto a conveyor belt for cash. Shopping involves a CAPTCHA. Even sleep brings an egg-cracking mini-game, which he tackles with an auto-clicker. "I assume there's something delicious in the center," he says, supplying a wonderfully questionable motive for the assignment.

The Crack session reached roughly 366,000 views, the largest audience among eight new uploads this week. Viewers have their own practical concerns: the shop's lighting equipment and the search for calcite keep coming up, while one imagines the CAPTCHA exists to stop robots spending his money.

Elsewhere, the week brought a wizard's skeleton-clearing upgrades in Legion Breaker, a rare-box hunt in Find the Box and loot collecting in D2 Survvivors. The freshest momentum belongs to "Upgrading To Mine The Deepest Ore," his Drill Deep outing. The older Unharvest video, "Easily One Of My Favorite Games This Year," has passed two million views and remains particularly active, alongside "This Game Is FREE If You're Smart."

Subscribers were unchanged over the week, while daily viewing is running below its usual level. Among nearby variety-gaming channels, Joe Bart Games and Cruz had substantially larger weekly audiences; PointCrow and Egoraptor had quieter totals. DangerouslyFunny's own week nevertheless brought about 4.3 million views, with digging and upgrading doing plenty of the work.

What viewers say

  • My head canon is the captcha is there to keep the robots from using your card and buying random stuff.
  • The incremental/clicker genre is getting more impressive all the time. At this rate we're getting a AAA clicker game with a proper story in a year or two..

  • I find it more scary when he has a plan and focuses on it. Lol
