'TALKIN MY LANGUAGE': Headie One's football bars get their video

The new clip from the MMM mixtape, directed by Danny, drew close to 80,000 views on its first day as fans asked for more album videos.

"TALKIN MY LANGUAGE" is the newest music video on Headie One's channel, and the only upload of the week. It comes off MMM, the mixtape the description says is out now, and it went up on Monday with a director credited simply as Danny. Its first day brought in close to 80,000 views.

The comment section has settled on one subject: football. The most liked remark is about the football bars, and another viewer crowns him for exactly that kind of reference. Others point to the moment early in the track where he slides from a rapping flow into a melodic one and back, and one viewer spotted PK Humble on screen and enjoyed working out why he was getting told off. Several say they had been waiting for this video since the mixtape dropped, and want more of the album filmed.

The new clip is moving fastest, but the older MMM single is still busy too. "HOW DARE THEY," the Digga collaboration from late August, has passed 1.6 million views and keeps adding thousands a day, while "Turnt To A Target" from the summer hums along behind it.

All of that added up to around two and a half million views over the seven days, the second-largest haul among the UK and US rap channels near his size, behind only Nines. Most of the neighbors, ArrDee and Digga among them, had a quiet stretch. Headie One added about a thousand subscribers, a steady week for the Tottenham artist who helped carry drill into the mainstream.
