Hawk pairs Trump's "Not to my knowledge" remark with officials' answers
The short political montage passes half a million views before its first day is over.
Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 641,997 views a day, 22 times a normal first day on this channel (29,293).
Not to my knowledge
Donald Trump offers a line he says a lawyer tells someone to use when they are guilty: "Just say 'not to my knowledge.'" Hawk then cuts to a succession of officials using those same words.
That juxtaposition drives "Not to my knowledge," a reaction Short on Hawk's Podcasts / mdg650hawk. It has drawn roughly 533,000 views in sixteen hours, far beyond the channel's usual first-day audience for Shorts.
Pam Bondi, Scott Bessent, Russell Vought and Kristi Noem appear in the montage of hearings and briefings. Hawk remains on the right side of the screen in a flannel shirt, gesturing as the responses accumulate. Pete Hegseth supplies a variation: "Not that I'm aware of."
The edit builds its political argument through repetition, placing Trump's characterization immediately before the officials' answers. It is a compilation of excerpts, rather than an examination of the questions each speaker was answering.
Hawk's comment section is also unusually busy, already several times larger than a typical full first day. Two other Shorts posted the same day, "Project 2025 - End healthcare for Americans" and "I know nothing!", have also drawn substantially larger audiences than his usual Shorts.
