  1. 0:50Alex joins Julius van den Berg and his teammates for reconnaissance and tactical advice.
  2. 5:55Race-day inspection reveals a wet course and an indoor velodrome start ramp.

  4. 15:15Alex follows Julius van den Berg's nighttime race from the team car.
  5. 17:21The comparison with the professional men's and women's results begins.

Julius van den Berg's advice is straightforward: the course is short, so start fast. Alex Paton then has to make that sound easier than it feels, tackling a rain-soaked prologue to answer "Am I Faster Than The Slowest Pro?"

The Sena-sponsored challenge was Global Cycling Network's most watched new upload of the week, reaching roughly 233,000 views. Paton joins Team Picnic PostNL for reconnaissance, then rides with coach Phil West guiding him by intercom from the team car. The indoor velodrome start gives way to wet roads, with rather less margin for confidence through the corners.

His finish leaves him eight seconds behind the slowest rider in the men's race. Viewers are discussing how much the weather mattered, thanking him for including the women's results, and questioning whether a presenter capable of that effort really qualifies as an everyday cyclist. It's a useful distinction: the gap to professional racing looks different depending on who's doing the measuring.

Elsewhere in a fifteen-upload week, Conor visits Moab for "I Didn't Expect THIS From Zwift...", comparing an Arches National Park ride with its indoor filmed-route counterpart. That video and its accompanying Short are paid collaborations with Zwift. The regular upload has reached about 167,000 views, while the newer "Are You Buying The Wrong Bike Lights?" currently draws the strongest daily viewing of the channel's videos.

The channel added subscribers over the week, and daily views are running well above their usual level. Its practical side has plenty of substance to offer alongside the racing: the lights guide gets into beam patterns, waterproof ratings and mounting positions, not just the biggest lumen number on the box.

  • Alex says this compared the pros to everyday riders like him. He's hardly an average cyclist. Put a weekend warrior like me in there if you really want to see someone truly humbled
