Patrick Christys Tonight | Thursday 8th October
Two hours, and a crowd for all of them. The full Thursday edition of Patrick Christys Tonight passed 43,000 views in its first six hours. Complete shows on this channel usually gather a few thousand views across a whole first day.
It was by-election night. Polls closed on Thursday evening in Holborn and St Pancras, the north London seat that first sent Keir Starmer to Parliament in 2015 and that takes in Bloomsbury and King's Cross. Christys spent part of the programme on the campaign. A segment cut from the show, titled "'ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!'", has him going through a race in which, the clip's description says, he saw the "hard-left" candidates as the only ones with a chance. That clip also ran well ahead of the channel's usual pace for its regular videos.
The result arrived overnight. A breaking report posted the next morning says Labour's Sagal Abdi-Wali won by 3,000 votes, with Green Party leader Zack Polanski behind her. GB News titled it an "embarrassing DEFEAT" for Polanski.
It is the second evening in a row for the programme. As we reported here, Wednesday's edition, which aired on the third anniversary of October 7, also drew an unusually large audience for a full show. The description bills the program as two hours of debate and interviews with guests. On Thursday it ran alongside the vote count, and the late edition, built around the next morning's front pages, followed it onto the channel.

The numbers
A full evening show usually draws a modest audience here, so this first day stands out, and the by-election clip from the same programme ran ahead too.
