More to Isaias than its center: Bryan Norcross on the danger before landfall
FOX Weather's hurricane specialist warns of trouble well ahead of the eye, and his viewers trade ice tips and cone reminders.

Isaias Threat Grows as Hurricane Specialist Warns of Dangerous Pre-Landfall Impacts
Three briefings, one man. FOX Weather posted three Bryan Norcross analyses of Hurricane Isaias in a single day, and the one that pulled ahead had passed about 280,000 views in its first eight hours.
That video is "Isaias Threat Grows as Hurricane Specialist Warns of Dangerous Pre-Landfall Impacts," and its point is in the description: there is more to this storm than meets the eye. With landfall expected on the Gulf Coast Friday night into Saturday, Norcross warns that the dangerous weather reaches far beyond the center and arrives before it does. The other two briefings, one on Isaias strengthening into a Category 2 storm with 100-mph winds and one on where it might come ashore, also ran well past an ordinary first day. They simply did not go quite as far.
The comments read like a neighborhood preparing together. One viewer suggests bags of ice in the freezer to slow thawing if the power goes out. Another repeats a point Norcross keeps making, that the cone marks the path of the center and the danger does not stop at its edge. Someone politely corrects the pronunciation of Okaloosa. Others name their towns, from Longboat Key to Panama City, and a few remember Hurricane Michael.
By Friday the channel had moved from the map to the coast, with Robert Ray on Pensacola Beach and Haley Meier in a still-calm Pascagoula, Mississippi.

Please remember that the cone is the center, outside the cone is still dangerous
