Vice President JD Vance says the Trump administration should not prejudge the inquiry into Representative Ilhan Omar, in a Fox News compilation examining renewed allegations concerning her past marriage and immigration history.
"Because in the Trump administration we don't prejudge, we let the facts and the law drive these decisions," Vance tells Jesse Watters.
The upload adds Vance's response and a discussion of the investigation's origins to the warrant-secrecy dispute we reported here earlier. It drew roughly 940,000 views since yesterday, making it Fox News' most watched new video over that period.
A central point in the coverage is when the scrutiny began. Citing a New York Times report, Fox's presenters say the Obama administration began investigating in 2016. Correspondent Kevin Corke then describes an investigation that was shut down in 2021 and the renewed inquiry. The compilation combines reporting with panel commentary about how successive administrations handled the matter.
The closing interview turns from that political argument to potential legal consequences. Attorney and former immigration judge Nathan Hansen tells guest host Charlie Hurt that investigators may be seeking to build a denaturalization case, a proceeding to revoke citizenship obtained through naturalization.
Hansen also argues that concealment can affect a statute-of-limitations defense. These are his assessments of possible legal routes, rather than a court's findings against Omar. The distinction matters: the interview explores what investigators might pursue, not an announced outcome.
