A vault that doesn't exist keeps FlameFrags busy

The 18-day-old Unstable SMP story, made with Parrot, Wemmbu and Spoke, has passed six million views.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Among Minecraft creators of similar size, FlameFrags sits third by subscribers, just behind Dumb and Farzy. Phoenix SC and Dumb are the busy channels in that group, each drawing well over a million views a day, both a touch under their usual pace.

Nothing new went up on FlameFrags this week, and the channel leaned on "Searching for a Vault that Doesn't Exist." It is an episode of the Unstable Universe, the staged server he built with Parrot, Wemmbu and Spoke to tell cinematic stories in Minecraft, and the description is upfront that it is scripted. At eighteen days old it is still gathering views at several times the pace of anything else on the channel.

The older work keeps ticking along behind it. "3 Minecraft Pros VS 1000 Hunters," a half-year-old manhunt that thanks Karl, ClownPierce and Purpled, has quietly overtaken the vault video's total. "I Exposed Minecraft's "Strongest" Player," made with Parrot, follows a little further back. Subscribers held level through the upload-free stretch.
