Bede 18 and 19 refresh brings builder questions to Experimental Aircraft Channel
The week's only upload introduces an all-metal aircraft refresh, with viewers especially curious about the four-seat version.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
BEDE Aircraft to produce a NEW BEDE 18 and 19 Model!
A new aircraft announcement is one thing. Knowing how you'll reach a fuel tank years later is another, and Experimental Aircraft Channel's viewers are already thinking that far ahead.
The channel's only new upload this week covers plans to produce Bede 18 and 19 models, described as a refresh of an all-metal aircraft with an unusual construction method. It drew about 10,500 views in its first 13 hours and is the channel's busiest video right now.
The comments bring the practical curiosity that suits a channel devoted to aircraft builders, owners and flyers. Several viewers want to see a completed four-seat Bede 19. Others ask about access to internal systems, replacing bonded skin panels and whether parachute attachment points could be included. Those are questions, not established shortcomings, but they give the announcement a distinctly workshop-minded reception: what will this airplane be like to build, maintain and live with?
Across the channel, the subscriber count stayed unchanged while the library added roughly 89,000 views over the week. Today's viewing pace is a little below its usual level. Nearby in the aviation-and-machines neighborhood, FarFlight had a substantial week, while AgentJayZ's daily viewing is running well above its usual pace.
The older ultralight features remain useful company for the Bede announcement. Chris Deuel's Badland Aircraft update is the next busiest video, followed by Beaver Borne's introduction to the Air-Tech Quicksilver. Between them, the shelf offers two different entry points into the channel's enduring subject: getting a small aircraft into the air.

I really want to see the 4 place version.
@BadGolfer-c9cSee it on YouTubeCan you put a parachute on it? So the attachment points?
@funtimetoo1See it on YouTubeI want to like these two airplanes but…….
How on earth do you work on those fuel tanks in the future? If they are bonded to the spar I can’t see how you would get them off if they needed work.
Are there access panels planned? How do you access internal components of systems when they need maintenance?@maddogintheairSee it on YouTubeVery cool... can't wait to see it fly!
