Getting to the tractors turns out to be a job of its own. Wrecker Rick finds a bad vibration and the smell of gear oil in the Peterbilt, then deals with a blown trailer tire beside the highway. The stranded farm equipment hasn't even entered the picture yet.

MURPHYS DIESEL posted nothing new this week, but "300,000 Pounds of Farm Equipment BURIED! Nobody Can Get It Out!" is keeping the California mission busy. Released just before the week began, it has reached roughly 3.6 million views and is drawing the most daily views of the channel's active videos.

Rick and his family travel from Alaska back to Arizona to gather the equipment, including the enormous Oshkosh 10x10 and his custom Ram 5500 wrecker, Hellboy. At the Salton Sea site, the crew surveys five tractors buried in clay and silt, a neighbor-helping-neighbor problem that has grown considerably heavier. Rick says the recovery is free of charge. The episode includes sponsored rigging.

Alaska hasn't disappeared from the lineup. The Large Marge barge build is the next strongest source of daily viewing, followed by "Abandoned In Alaska's Grizzly Bear Country… Will It Start?", the return to equipment left near the Yukon River. These are connected chapters: the California call pulls Rick away while the barge project continues.

The channel added about 20,000 subscribers over the week, although daily views are currently running at less than half their usual level. Among nearby machine and aviation channels, Captain Steeeve is seeing above-usual daily viewing, while Diesel Creek is quieter. For MURPHYS DIESEL, the main attraction remains a recovery where simply getting the trucks into position takes substantial work.
