Rodri and Gabriel Jesus trade training-ground footwork impressions

ESPN FC's fast-starting Short swaps match analysis for a playful exchange, with viewers spotting a reminder of Raheem Sterling.

Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 181,797 views a day, 12 times a normal first day on this channel (15,029).

Rodri doesn't even put down his water bottle before starting the impression. With the ball at his feet, he exaggerates a series of quick, choppy steps, turns across the training pitch and eventually chips a pass toward Gabriel Jesus.

Jesus controls it out of the air and gives the performance straight back, copying the exaggerated running and dribbling as he passes Rodri. No explanation is needed, and no speech is heard: the joke is all in the movement.

The clip has brought ESPN FC more than 120,000 views in its first half-day. Its estimated first-day audience is roughly twelve times the channel's usual start for a Short, an unusually strong response to a small training-ground exchange.

ESPN FC credits Barcelona's TikTok account for the footage. Rodri and Jesus previously played together at Manchester City, giving the exchange a familiar connection without establishing when this particular session was filmed.

Alongside panel discussions about Barcelona's winning start and Manchester United's defeat, this upload offers something much less formal. In the comments, several viewers connect the final stretch of footwork with Raheem Sterling, another former City teammate.
