- 1:30Sadaghdar tests the ceiling wires after discovering they have all been spray-painted white.
- 6:16He enters the garage attic to work out a cable route between the joists.
- 12:15A string, magnets and a bent copper guide become his cable-fishing setup.
- 17:52An endoscope helps him locate and free the line inside the wall cavity.
- 23:54The grinder reveals a wiring mix-up, which he diagrams before correcting the connections.
- 30:17He finishes the outlet, tests it and shows the garage and driveway lighting at night.
The wires have all been spray-painted white. For Mehdi Sadaghdar, identifying the live ones is only the beginning of a garage upgrade that involves crawling above the ceiling, fishing cables through walls and discovering that his grinder has become part of the lighting circuit.
ElectroBOOM's only upload this week, "Electrical Wiring, Installations and Upgrade," reached roughly 420,000 views in its first 12 hours. It's a substantial home-improvement project with the channel's familiar electrical comedy threaded through it: new garage lights, another outlet and an exterior fixture by the basketball hoop.
The awkward spaces do much of the work here. Sadaghdar tries a string-and-magnet arrangement to pull cable through the walls, then brings in an endoscope when the line gets stuck. "Next best thing to cave diving is attic diving," he says. The video includes a sponsored thermal-camera segment.
Viewers are talking about the grinder switching on the light, but also the less glamorous business of moving around roof joists. Several share their own ceiling-crawling experience and suggest bringing boards to make a working platform. Others propose reversing his magnet-and-string arrangement. It's a comments section with a distinctly practical streak.
The channel added 20,000 subscribers over the week, while daily viewing is a little above its usual level. Among nearby science channels, Cleo Abram had a particularly busy week for views and subscriber growth; SmarterEveryDay was quieter.
Beyond the garage, the older plasma-globe fire-hazard Short continues to draw substantial daily viewing, with the Facebook AI warning also active. But the new upload gives this week its own very tangible payoff: after a miswired junction and some flickering fixtures, Sadaghdar finally shows the garage and driveway illuminated at night.

Funny thing. I used to crawl around in people's ceilings and I know the pain. Take a couple of mid sized planks with you next time. They are amazing for making zones where you can stand or lay on. It just makes everything easier for you.
@JoshuaCampbelllSee it on YouTubeYou're killin' me with the magnet strings... Do it the other way around! Put a nut on the end of the string, put the magnet on a stick to reach in there and grab it. No more trouble with magnets sticking to things inside the wall.
@KragatarSee it on YouTubei really thought hair dryer turning on bathroom lights were all a funny skit, until today
