Dr. Eggman orders Shadow to eliminate contestants until only one remains. Almost immediately, he has to clarify the assignment: "We need at least one alive!"
That exchange sets the tone for Dumb's "Who Should I KILL? (SONIC or SHADOW)," a 3D Minecraft animation that puts Sonic's cast through a succession of increasingly odd survival challenges. It drew about 230,000 views in its first day, nearly nine times the channel's usual start for regular videos.
Despite the title's either-or question, this is an ensemble affair. Knuckles, Amy Rose, Tails, Rouge and others join the games, with lava waiting beneath the contestants. Shadow starts with Simon Says, then moves through horror stories, slime-block jumps and a drawing contest in which survival depends on how well the players sketch him.
The funnier contrast is between the danger and the tasks themselves. Sonic and Metal Sonic answer trivia while lava rises; elsewhere, contestants must build round pools in Minecraft without mods. A mansion hide-and-seek round lets them disguise themselves as furniture and animals.
Dumb's recent uploads have leaned into being loved, pursued or married in Minecraft. Here, the social dilemmas give way to a rotating game-show format, with Mephiles eventually taking over hosting duties and a late challenge asking contestants to identify the real Sonic among his clones.
