The sweetest tradition at Haunted Mansion Holiday 🍪✨ #Disneyland
Seven hours old, a short asking viewers to pick the right sound of a knife going through a Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bar had already passed 13,000 views. It is the newest of four uploads on Disney Parks, and the quickest off the mark by some distance. The description notes the bar turns up at Disneyland, Walt Disney World and on Disney Cruise Line; the title admits only that one of the options is correct, maybe.
The week's most-watched video, though, is a small piece of craft. "The sweetest tradition at Haunted Mansion Holiday" opens Behind the Screams, a series about the making of the attraction's seasonal overlay, and follows Disneyland cast members from concept art to baking to installing this year's gingerbread house in the Grand Ballroom. For the tradition's 25th anniversary it takes the form of a delightfully monstrous music box, in the description's words. The overlay itself borrows Jack Skellington, Sally and Oogie Boogie from Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas, so the timing, a few weeks before Halloween, could hardly be more on theme.
The Walt Disney World side kept things lighter: a Donald Duck camera-roll short, and a World Gorilla Day clip from the Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail at Disney's Animal Kingdom, which mentions the GRACE center in the Democratic Republic of Congo that Disney helped design and fund.
Among the travel channels nearest it in size, the busy stretch belongs to Sailing La Vagabonde, running at several times its usual pace, while Jorden Tually is quieter than normal.
