Banana Ball books a Disney World return for April 2027

Baseball with a showman's streak supplied Disney Parks' biggest new draw: its Banana Ball Open announcement reached roughly 44,000 views. The event returns to ESPN Wide World of Sports from April 15-18, 2027, for a second consecutive year.

The announcement is part of the company's promotional slate, which ran to ten uploads. A second Banana Ball post followed the first, while commenters on the main announcement talked about the city-selection broadcast, spotting their hometowns and the friendly relationships between players. Banana Ball's blend of baseball and entertainment makes it a fitting addition to a channel where sports, characters and attractions share the bill.

Elsewhere, the week introduced Raisin, a new Ankole calf at Animal Kingdom, and named Disney Imagination as the first Disney Cruise Line Japan ship, sailing in 2029. EPCOT's agricultural science team also got a turn, connecting Living with the Land to a Carolina Reaper pepper curry at the Food & Wine Festival. That's quite a distance from the savanna to the dinner table.

The channel added about 901,000 views over seven days, with subscribers unchanged and daily viewing a little below its usual level. Among nearby travel channels, Expedia had a much larger viewing week, while EarthCam's gain was slightly smaller than Disney Parks'.

The freshest momentum belongs to Tri-Circle-D Ranch's preparations for the Headless Horseman's Halloween parade appearance. Lily Aldridge's Teacup Confessions interview is also drawing attention, putting fashion, music and Disney questions aboard Disneyland's Mad Tea Party rather than in a conventional interview chair.
