Stolen Pokémon types give Dads Bein Dudes a team-building puzzle

The channel's only new upload brings Dylan and Rich into a challenge that has viewers debating Glastrier's moves.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Choose Your Starter Pokemon, BUT Steal The Others Type!

Choosing a starter is usually the beginning of a Pokémon adventure, not an opportunity to borrow someone else's typing. Dads Bein Dudes made that twist its sole new upload with "Choose Your Starter Pokemon, BUT Steal The Others Type!", drawing more than 112,000 views since Saturday.

The comments offer two different ways into the episode: the comedy of getting both versions of Zorua back to back, and the tactical possibilities viewers see in Rich's Glastrier. Several propose alternative moves, particularly Horn Leech, rather than simply accepting the build on screen. Pokémon's type-swapping possibilities give the audience plenty of room to assemble their own imaginary teams. The episode includes a sponsorship.

That new challenge is comfortably the channel's biggest daily draw. Two older variations remain active alongside it: "Choose Your Starters Blindly, BUT Give them ANY Broken Move!" and "Choose Your Starter Pokemon, But Steal The Others Types!" The appeal here is less a new game than another mischievous rewrite of its rules.

Subscribers stayed unchanged over the week, while the library added roughly 141,000 views. Among nearby gaming channels, Proxy Gate Tactician and jillyeon had much larger viewing weeks; BonusWolfe was quieter. For Dads Bein Dudes, the freshest activity centers on a familiar question with an unfamiliar complication: what should a Pokémon become when its original type is no longer guaranteed?
