Colion Noir's door-lock footage returns in Bend shooting Short
The sponsored commentary pairs an armed father's intervention with an earlier test showing how two classroom locks held up differently.
Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 387,472 views a day, 10 times a normal first day on this channel (37,174).
A School Shooter Got Inside… Then An Armed Dad Did The Unthinkable
The standard latch failed. In footage Colion Noir brings back for his Bend school-shooting Short, a reinforced classroom lock then keeps the door closed under repeated gunfire.
That contrast supplies the central demonstration in "A School Shooter Got Inside… Then An Armed Dad Did The Unthinkable." The Short drew roughly 390,000 views in its first day, more than ten times the channel's usual start for that format.
Noir recounts reports that an armed father nearby intervened after a gunman entered an elementary school in Bend, Oregon, where three children and a teacher were killed. An included Fox News clip reports that the father fatally shot the attacker. Noir praises his intervention while acknowledging the speed of the police response.
The earlier lock test illustrates his argument that a secured door can delay an intruder, while someone already present can act before responders arrive. The video's description identifies it as sponsored by Nosler.
As we reported here, Noir has also examined school response plans following the shooting. His subsequent regular-length response video addresses a different question: whether preventing shootings and recognizing an armed civilian's intervention should be treated as opposing positions. He argues they should not.
