CBS Sports Golazo's biggest draw wasn't a match. Its Ballon d'Or watchalong reached nearly 20 million views, making the awards broadcast the standout in a packed week of highlights and studio discussion.

The opening Morning Footy segment gives the occasion an interesting tension. Guillem Balagué joins Susannah Collins, Nico Cantor, Charlie Davies and Ian Joy to weigh Harry Kane, Kylian Mbappé and Lamine Yamal, but Joy questions the habit of making a collective sport all about one player. "I don't like teams being labeled his team because it's a collective," he says. Davies, meanwhile, points to how openly players campaign for the prize.

The comments center on congratulations for Kane, with self-described Arsenal, Liverpool and Nottingham Forest supporters putting club allegiances aside. Those responses are a different conversation from the opening studio poll, where Mbappé was viewers' preferred pick.

Across the rest of the week, Liverpool-Chelsea drew the largest audience among the match highlights, followed by Fleetwood Town-Arsenal and Manchester City-Brighton. The freshest momentum has moved to Juventus-Napoli, with the panel's analysis of Arsenal's Anfield win also gathering views. Hannah Cash, Nigel Reo-Coker, Tony Meola and Paul Dalglish examine Havertz's contribution and Liverpool's disputed penalty appeals.

The channel added 20,000 subscribers over the week. Its weekly views were the highest among the nearby football channels here, while DAZN Football had a particularly large subscriber gain and B/R Football remained steady. Golazo's daily viewing has since eased to roughly half its usual level, with the awards rush giving way to the weekend's football.
