🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
The Titans kept possession. Joey Slye had been called into emergency punting duty because of an injury, but Cleveland's formation turned a makeshift solution into a first down.
The CBS Sports Short introduces the Tennessee placekicker with an entirely empty punting résumé. The commentator says this is his first career attempt, adding that he did not punt in college, either. Slye receives the snap and gets the kick away, only for a whistle to interrupt proceedings.
The explanation comes from the referee: Cleveland has twelve players in its defensive formation. The replay counts them out, and the penalty lets Tennessee keep its offense on the field. Slye's unfamiliar assignment ends without an official punt to his name.
The clip has drawn more than 200,000 views in less than a day, running far ahead of the usual start for a CBS Sports Short. Its title consists entirely of shrugs, leaving the referee and that crowded Cleveland formation to explain the joke.
